The Best Performing Arts Festivals in Suffolk County, NY

As summer approaches, Long Island is getting ready for a season of thrilling fairs, festivals, and carnivals. From the East End to the New York City line, Nassau and Suffolk counties have plenty of events to enjoy in the upcoming months. Here's a summary of some of the must-see festivities that will be celebrated. The Mattituck Lions Strawberry Festival is a weekly art event featuring handmade art by local artists, live music, cultural performances, and an art station for kids.

Harbes Farm is organizing a Father's Day Festival with activities for the whole family. The Shelter Island Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 58th Annual Craft Fair. And Ronkonkoma will be hosting a Labor Day Weekend Street Fair. Ryu Shu is presenting a varied program of taiko drums, folk songs, and dances inspired by Japan's rich folk heritage. Shara, a lifelong New Yorker and mother of four, is sharing the best of events, festivals, concerts, and performances for children in New York, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and Westchester. At this cultural concert, you'll have the opportunity to take part in a tradition only found in Greek nightclubs called “floromanía” or “throwing flowers” - a celebratory act that symbolizes joy, enthusiasm and appreciation for the artist who plays. The Huntington Arts Council will host live outdoor concerts every night at the Chapin Rainbow Stage in Heckscher Park throughout July.

This month-long artistic celebration includes theatrical performances, the Huntington Community Band, the 16th Huntington Folk Festival, and other exciting artists.
